Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data VA DataTech collects through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and its Rules, and it also covers the rights of visitors protected by the EU and UK GDPR.

Who we are

VA DataTech ("we", "us") is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into the contact form:

• Required: your name and email address.
• Optional: company, country, the service you're interested in, and your message.

Please don't include sensitive information such as health, financial or government ID details in your message. This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to discuss or plan a project with you. We rely on the consent you give by ticking the box on the form. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list.

Who can see it

Your enquiry is emailed to our team and is not stored in a database on the website. It passes through these service providers, who process it only on our instructions:

• Hostinger, which hosts this website and our email.
• Google Fonts, which serves the website's fonts. Your browser connects to Google to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.

We may disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep what's needed for the contract and for legal and tax records, for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

• Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
• Ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your data.
• Withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it, but we will stop using your data and delete it unless the law requires us to keep it.
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to.
• Raise a grievance with us and, if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the rights to restrict or object to processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email info@vadatatech.in with the subject "Privacy request". We'll reply within 30 days.

This website is meant for businesses. If you are under 18, please don't send us your details through the form.

Security

The website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection, the form includes spam protection, and access to our email is limited to the people who handle enquiries.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
